STORAGE SOLAR POWER FOR COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL

In 2021, the growth rate of grid-tied solar power will slow down. The reason is because Vietnam's electricity has temporarily stopped buying excess electricity to be sent to the grid. Therefore, to develop solar power, investors focus on the solution to effectively use this energy source. Due to the characteristics of solar power that changes with the weather, in order to stabilize the amount of electricity generated, a battery system is needed to store it. When solar power is weak, this stored electricity will be generated to help stabilize the capacity. This solution will help investors not waste excess solar power. At the same time, the system helps stabilize the power grid, bringing macro benefits to the electricity industry.

  • All in one inverter storage solution: Inverter is designed with input as solar panels and AC grid or generator. The output is an AC load, and at the same time, it is sent back to the grid when there is excess solar power. The storage battery system will be charged and discharged in two directions (Bi-direction). All are integrated in 1 inverter to increase efficiency, easy to install and use, optimize power.
  • Grid-tie inverter combined with DC-AC converter and storage: This solution utilizes the existing grid-tied solar power system to generate solar power. After that, the investor will install an additional DC-AC inverter for the purpose of storing and generating backup power. The inverter charges the battery with AC electricity and discharges it when the solar power source is not capable enough.

  • Download priority to use solar energy
  • Excess solar energy is used to charge the battery. When the battery is full, it will be broadcast to the grid
  • If there is a shortage of solar power, additional power will be taken from the battery. When the battery is exhausted, the power is taken from the grid
  • When there is no solar power, get the power from the battery. If the battery is not enough, get more power from the grid.
  • Batteries can only be charged by residual solar power, or by small current charging from the grid
  • Excess solar power can be generated on the grid or not on the grid
  • Making the most of solar energy efficiency, excess electricity can be sold to electricity.

2. Application of the system:

Transfer load, optimize consumption, ensure efficient use of solar electricity, minimize generator power to reduce fuel costs.

Shut down all generating sets and ensure rotation of energy storage by the Energy Storage System (ESS). The use of ESS allows:

  • Increase solar energy storage rate
  • Stabilize on-grid solar energy production
  • Adjust voltage and frequency to local grid

Depending on the customer's needs or the electricity company's grid protection requirements, the ESS solution has the function of stabilizing or supporting the operation of the solar power system.
